NOW TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

I had been to this amazing park in Feb with Eric and his uncles. It does not matter how many times you see the animals, they still raise excitement when you see them! Here are some shots of the views and flora during our game drive:

The Crested Crane, Uganda's national bird

Pretty cool viewing seats

DLC (deer like creature)

Baboon eating flowers

You never get tired of watching them

Queen E and the Bugandan King at the
Queen's Pavillion

Another DLC
We had lunch at the Savannah Hotel and then went for an afternoon game drive. It was surreal that is all I can say. We ended up at Mweya Lodge which is located on a peninsula overlooking the Kazinga Channel. It is amazing to be able to have lunch on the terrace and watch the elephants come down to drink and see the hippos sleeping in the water. Mweya is surrounded by the magical Rwenzori Mountains also known as the 'Mountains of the Moon'.

To the east, lie the guardians of the birthplace of mankind, the Great Rift Valley hills, seperated from the Rwenzoris by the meandering Kazinga Channel. Here the water flows into 2 giant lakes- Lake George and Lake Edward.

Mom and Sabrina enjoying a rest at the Savannah

Always the goofy older brother

A pretty place to relax

We were lucky to see this mother and her cub!

Even if only for a minute
The pictures tell it all really....
