BUSEGA CELEBRATES EID AL-FITR (AUGUST 8th, 2013)

The Busega Bethlehem Home is home to all denominations of boys who are disabled and orphaned. MOP makes a point of trying to make the home a real "HOME" and NOT an orphanage. Fr Raymond, in particular, is very sensitive to the needs of all his boys. He wanted to be sure the Muslim children, who were fasting from dawn to dusk during the entire month of Ramadan, had a feast on Eid Al-Fitr. It is a Muslim Holy day know as the Feast of breaking the Fast.

Father had a Muslim priest perform the ceremony and ALL the boys were able to join in on the feast! The boys looked so handsome in their traditional outfits (again thanks to Fr Raymond).
