THE GOAL: raising $5,000.00 for CMMB to cover 1/3 of the expenses of sending me to Africa

THE EVENT: A Proper Tea 8/9/12 (hosted by Robin Bush and assisted by Jill Crary, Darlene Modjeski, Jody Hatcher, Debbie Gelfer)

THE RESULT: A successful event meeting the remaining financial goal

What a wonderful way to visit with good friends and co workers. This was also a touching send off party as the remaining time in town is quickly diminishing. My Mother, Patricia Williard, flew into town the week before to help prepare. She came with a bounty of creative ideas and energy!

Friends volunteered to make beautiful tea sandwiches and and cakes. Robin did a beautiful set up with her Grandmother's and Mother's antique china. Auction baskets were creatively assembled and well bid.

Everyone was generous with bidding and and donations and my heart and soul have been humbled by the outpouring of support and prayers. Special THANKS goes to John Ruth who even outbid himself!

Two friends joined us despite their own scheduled surgeries scheduled for 24-36 hrs later. Sue and Maxine, you are both amazing friends.
