We are ALL called to do things in our lives...
To be a good Friend, Sister, Brother, Mother, Father; To hold a door open for a stranger; To celebrate the joys and the heartaches of Life; To give someone a SMILE a HUG a little HOPE... We have no idea how deeply we touch the lives of others.
Still, it can be scary to listen to the "still small voice within". Take it from me, the last time I said to God:
" OK God, I am willing to go anywhere",
I received a call out of the blue to go to Afghanistan. My first response was "What?! Are you CRAZY?". I managed to trust, to go, to give and to come home in one piece. Most importantly, I learned that the world is in great need of LOVE.
This time, when I received a call to be a part of the Catholic Medical Mission's Volunteers, I knew that my only response was "YES". So...Here I go again. I hope that I can use all the skills and knowledge I've gained over the years to help someone I might not know....yet.
Please feel free to join me in OUR efforts. The world is a Hologram after all! Your support, thoughts and prayers bring you into this mission as well. I am HONORED to be the physical extension of ALL of you who would be there with me!
